| I combined layers and bits of stenciled, painted, rusted and
dirt rubbed pieces with commercial sheers and silk transfers to create these
'skins'. The edges, left raw, are wrapped in grey tulle netting. Each piece
is finished, then overlapped and sewn into the garment. I used The Walkabout
Vest #113 pattern for this piece. The closure is a bone made into a pin. |
