| The jacket is a blue dupioni silk with iridescent lining. I embellished it with variegated silk Sashiko quilting (Thank you, Nancy Schriber) from the lower left front corner, across the back, ending at the upper right front. I used metallic floss and beading for the fish. Once I completed that, I thought the front section too plain, so I had some fun with stencils. (Thank you, Diane) Wild woman that I am, I made mermaid rubber stamp and added more to the lining. This was a fun project and I am somewhat pleased with the results. Unfortunately, I am afflicted with the “I shoulda” curse and am never truly satisfied. Oh well, my problem. By the way, I appreciated your comment in the instruction sheet on side seam construction. I’d still be at it if not for that hint.
