Fault Lines is a
short, bias JACKET with a bias Undershirt that creates a fluid, shaped silhouette on the body. the jacket has a beautiful sleeve design that is highlighted by striped fabrics. The sleeve can tapered in ( directions in the pattern), and used on the Undershirt. The pattern pieces can be cut several ways on the fabric to take advantage of a unique stripe or border design. It is a great vest too. Closures can be big snaps, zippers specialty buttons and loops or bound buttonholes.. the front design is the perfect canvas for your favorite closure detail or pin. The collar (with directions for making it
detachable) is a bias tube...so your favorite scarf threads through (as shown with the raspberry color scarf on the black and white brocade jacket). The UNDERSHIRT , also a bias garment, has complimentary lines to the jacket and can wrap either side on top. The Undershirt can also be made from the same fabrics to give a layered jacket look to your silhouette. Easy construction with attention to detail and beautiful lines are making this one of my favorites already!
Black and White brocade are used for the jacket with a black, nickel snap closure(available on my site: notions).
The Undershirt is made using sheer Vintage Kimono pieces with wrinkled rayon as the band.
