These 4-day hands on workshops are a journey in discovery and creating. Through formal and informal classes and time to 'play' in the studio, you'll expand your perspectives on design, sewing, surface design, jewelry, accessories and techniques with an overall theme of expanding your creativity. 2012 Price: $1645.00 includes workshop, room and board. SANTA BARBARA La Casa de Maria at El Bosque Road is a beautiful retreat center of early California historic and Spanish style buildings on an oak studded, secluded property behind Montecito Village in Santa Barbara, California. For more information on the center: www.lacasademaria.org There are various accommodations at this retreat center. Most rooms are set up with 3 single beds. Each room has its own bathroom. Santa Barbara: Price includes 4-day workshop, meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and lodging. Rooms are double occupancy. Single occupancy is available at additional cost. Getting to Santa Barbara: Some major airlines fly in direct so check with your travel agent. As a final flight destination Santa Barbara Airport has a lot to offer. It is small, uncrowded and picturesque. Take the Super Ride Shuttle for $26 - 1 person, one way ($6 per person for each additional person). Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Santa Barbara Air Bus runs a scheduled daily service. Santa Barbara Airport (20 miles): United Airlines offers commuter shuttle service to LAX, San Francisco and San Diego connecting to major national and international flights. AMTRAK: State Street in Santa Barbara. Rail link to Burbank Airport. BUS: Greyhound Bus Station on Chapala Street in Santa Barbara. MTD stops in the Montecito Upper Village. For all retreats: Send your full amount or $300 deposit to hold your place. Full payment is due 60 days prior to your retreat. Cancellation policy: Now to 30 days prior to the retreat, $100 is non-refundable. Less than 30 days prior to the retreat, no refund. You may transfer your reservation to another person or to another retreat within the same year if unable to attend. Bring comfortable expressive clothes you feel good in, and feel free to dress up or down...fun things you love and maybe don't always give yourself permission to wear. Include layers.
