Wearables
Here are 3 versions of my Santa Cruz Jacket Pattern #116.
The crème colored linen jacket is combined with antique kimono fabric and
silk organza (navy blue) that I have discharge dyed.
The purple wool jacket is combined with silks, a bit of velvet and copper
metallic fabric I made into scrunched piping. The pin is a closure I made
from a piece of the printed lining fabric that has been padded and beaded
around the edge.
The mint green linen vest is combined with shapes cut from a commercial
quilting cotton to make the lapel flaps. I used my stencil design (from the
Eucalyptus #16), to create the black sashiko stitching .
